After the hot “cola kiss”, Gong Ah Jung’s heart was broken and viewers have been praising Yoon Eun Hye’s sad crying performance.

The 8th episode of the drama ‘Lie To Me’ portrayed a heartbroken Gong Ah Jung after the much anticipated “cola kiss”. Gong Ah Jung (Yoon Eun Hye) and Hyun Ki Joon (Kang Ji Hwan) had confirmed their feelings for each other with a hot kiss, while drenched in Coca-Cola (“Pepsi kiss” just doesn’t sound quite right does it? ).

But Gong Ah Jung would soon lose Hyun Ki Joon to Oh Yoon Joo. After Oh Yoon Joo was shocked to find out about Hyun Ki Joon and Gong Ah Jung’s marriage, Ki Joon comforted Yoon Joo and told her the truth about the fake marriage.

Hyun Ki Joon had chosen his ex-lover Oh Yoon Joo over Gong Ah Jung (I understand the history, but that was cold!). The heartbroken Ah Jung exploded with sad tears (and us along with her). She then went to find her friend Yoo So Ran (Hong Soo Hyun) and confessed, “I was never married”, ending the fake marriage. Gong Ah Jung cried again as she realized that the fantasy was now over.

From being a happy woman who had just begun a new love with a passionate kiss, Ah Jung suddenly became the heartbroken protagonist of a tragic love story. The sudden shift in emotional tone from happiness to utter heartbreak was bolstered by Yoon Eun Hye’s crying performance.
