The 11th episode for the SBS drama ‘Lie to Me’ represents a new beginning for the relationship between Gong Ah Jung (Yoon Eun Hye) and Hyun Ki Joon (Kang Ji Hwan). While their relationship and marriage started as a lie, the two start anew with their true feelings.
While they often bickered and argued, Ah Jung and Ki Joon became attracted to each other and their love has become real. Under the beautiful blue skies and scenery of Jeju Islands, they will renew their feelings, as Ki Joon literally rips up their contract and claims, “Let’s start over!”
The two also start doing things on each other’s behalf, even though it may threaten their professional work. The two end up at Jeju Islands due to work and Ki Joon begins to actively court Ah Jung. This includes a romantic dinner, with recently released stills depicting a gentle, affectionate kiss on Ah Jung’s forehead by Ki Joon. Verdi Media added:
“While the actors and staff members were exhausted from the intense filming schedule at Jeju Islands, everyone held their breath and focused on filming Ki Joon and Ah Jung’s forehead kiss scene, to capture their sincere feelings for one another. We were able to capture a beautiful scene.”
However even admidst the happiness of a new love under the blue skies of Jeju, there are already clouds forming on the horizon. Ki Joon’s ex-girlfriend Yoon Joo (Jo Yoon Hee) is going through difficulty, as she is unable and unwilling to let Ki Joon go. “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” How will Yoon Joo react and what will she do? On the other side, Ki Joon’s younger brother Sang Hee (Sung Joon), has developed deep feelings for Ah Jung and is going through the same emotional turmoil he experienced years prior with Yoon Joo. Ki Joon’s aunt may likely oppose the relationship as well.
How this all runs its course over the next few episodes is yet to be seen. As with the renewal of Ah Jung and Ki Joon’s love, hopefully viewers tune in with renewed interest as well!
