Yoon Eun Hye will release an album in Japan early next year

Actress Yoon Eun Hye will debut as a singer in Japan! She will be the first female Hallyu actress to do so. Lee Byung Hun, Ryu Si Won, Ahn Jae Ok, and many male Hallyu stars have debuted as singers in Japan holding concerts and releasing albums. However, Choi Ji Woo, Song Hye Kyo, Son Ye Jin, and other female Hallyu stars were limited to only fan meetings. Yoon Eun Hye is gaining public interest as the first female Hallyu star to become active as a singer in Japan.

Yoon Eun Hye recently worked with a global recording agency and is preparing to release an album in Japan. She will work with a famous Japanese producer at the end of the year and the album is scheduled for a release early next year. Yoon Eun Hye’s agency, The House Company stated:

“We haven’t finalized the contract so we can’t release the details, but we have completed discussions with a global recording studio. We have agreed to work with an experienced Japanese producer who has worked with many famous idol stars.”

Yoon Eun Hye became a big Hallyu star as her dramas Goong (MBC), Coffee Prince (MBC), My Fair Lady (KBS) became huge hits with viewers. Yoon Eun Hye showcased her power in her recent Japanese fan meeting when about 2000 fans attended. She received praise for singing the theme of Goong, “Perhaps Love”, and two other songs during the fan meeting held in Tokyo Nakano Zero Hall. The audience especially showed a passionate response when Yoon Eun Hye played the guitar.

The House Company stated:

“After the success of the recent fan meeting, many people involved in the Japanese music industry approved and supported her. It also helped that her old girl group, Baby V.O.X., was popular as a Hallyu group in Asia.”

It is not a 100% done deal that Yoon Eun Hye will release an album in Japan. She tweeted the following:

Hahaha..Releasing an album in Japan hasn’t been decided yet..
It’s kinda embarrassing, heehee..(^_^;)

But it’s true that we’ve received the offer after the fan meeting~
It’s kinda surprising when I’m not that great in singing, keke
Because so many people are looking forward to this ㅠㅡㅜ just in case you get disappointed..
