Yoon Eun Hye will star as the heroine in 'Tong Que Tai' opposite Chow Yun Fat
Yoon Eun Hye is confirmed to star as the heroine of the new movie, ‘Tong Que Tai’, and will begin filming in Beijing next month. ‘Tong Que Tai’ is an international production with stars from Korea, China, and Japan.
9/22 UPDATE: News has come out from Yoon Eun Hye’s side that they are still considering the role and have not accepted it. The House says it’s a 50% chance Yoon Eun Hye will accept the role. Until Yoon Eun Hye or The House confirms she’s in the movie, we are assuming she is not.
10/12 UPDATE: Yoon Eun Hye did not take this role and was not present at a press conference for the movie on October 8 in China. Sorry!
‘Tong Que Tai’ will tell the story of a beautiful woman who was buried with Cao Cao, a powerful figure from the “Romance of the Three Kingdoms.” The move will start principal photography with a renown cast including Yoon Eun Hye (Korea), Chow Yun Fat (Hong Kong), Alec Su (Taiwan), and Tamaki Hiroshi (Japan). The story is inspired by the mystery surrounding the remains of a woman in her twenties that was found in Cao Cao’s tomb by the Hunan State Bureau of Cultural Relics and confirmed by the Chinese Academy of Science in 2009.
Zhao Lin Shan, a prominent Chinese director, will direct the movie, and it is expected to simultaneously open in multiple Asian markets next October. Director Zhao explained that he will tell a story based on the final days of Cao Cao, who built Tong Que Tai, at the capital of the Cao Wei state. The story will focus on his strategies and his final love.
Cao Cao will be played by global star Chow Yun Fat, and Yoon Eun Hye will play his love interest, Young Juh*.
Director Zhao stated that he wrote the script for the movie, as he thought about the unknown woman, upon hearing the news of Cao Cao’s tomb being discovered in Anyang, a historical site of the Cao Wei state.
The plot contains Cao Cao’s thoughts and strategies during his final years, his wars against Shu Han and Eastern Wu, his relationship with his son, and his love interest. The central theme of the movie is that of great love and conformity.
In addition, Tamaki Hiroshi will play the warrior Mu Shun, who battled Lu Bu during the ‘Three Kingdoms’ era. Alec Su will play Emperor Xian of Han, who is usurped by Cao Cao and his son.
* Yoon Eun Hye’s character Young Juh is written in Korean pronunciation of the Chinese name. Some reports have mentioned Gong Lin Lu as the character’s name in Chinese pronunciation. But this could be a fictional name. Some other sources have reported that Yoon Eun Hye’s character is actually Lu Ling Qi, a warrior daughter of Lu Bu.

How many hallyu actor/actress are waiting to be given chances acting in chinese drama/movies(esp with megastar chow yun fatt), yoon eun hye are thinking 50/50 abt working with them.. im really upset to hear that… i love yoon eun hye in any drama/movies evnthough the rating are not good but at least she just say yes to this movie…..

I got so excited to hear the news that Yoon Eun Hye will finally come out as an International actress but after reading the synopsis of the upcoming movie I don’t like to see Yoon Eun Hye as Young Juh, a romance role with an older Warlord Cao Cao.
With Eun Hye’s stardom which is just beginning, I’m sure there would be more appropriate roles for her to take. I still want her to choose wisely on which role to pick. I’m confident she has the ability to pull up any kind of role, but I want her to stay like the old Yoon Eun Hye that we’ve known being conservative, cute and adorable.
I love her, she like you do, not in face but your personality, style. I do not like when she was pretty, but looks like the lovely and would be a bit funny, you look like you much, but very close. you and your children is the same one type person, but are very gentle personality, friendly but noble. sure she wondered why I say this because this friend had abandoned him to go to a place very far away. now they are trying to live well, and make more money. I see you like em so you can see, I used to think if she’s here she’s just like you, always shines where his arrival.
