What can you get warnings for? <ol type="1"><li> Offensive/abusive comments and profanity.</li><li> Repeated violations of any of the POSTING rules above, despite notices from moderators.</li><li> Repeated violations of the SIGNATURES rules above, despite notices from moderators.</li><li> Deliberate impersonation of another user by copying their display name.</li><li> Any content the majority of users/moderators find very objectionable.</li></ol> When a member receives 5 warnings, they will be banned from the forums for 1 month. This temporary ban is triggered automatically after 5 warnings. Each warning expires after 1 month. Warnings will be rare, since moderators will be extremely lenient in giving out warnings and will often just notify people they are breaking certain rules. But when members repeatedly ignore rules and moderator notices, then a moderator will issue a warning. To receive a temp ban, a member essentially needs to get 5 warnings within a 1 month period. Given our leniency with warnings, you'd have to be engaging in ongoing and very objectionable behavior for this to happen. 99.9% of our members would never have to worry about this. REPORTS Users will soon be able to report objectionable posts to moderators as well. However, reports do NOT automatically result in warnings. This is simply a way to draw our attention to something we might have missed. Moderators will exercise their judgement in determining whether reports are valid and merit disciplinary action. Reporting will be implemented on a trial basis. While most of the changes are in the backend, the most noticeable frontend changes are in the <a href="/activity/">Community</a> sections. Changelog: <ol type="1"><li> You can now specifically reply to and favorite individual activity stream items.</li><li> You can use the @username convention, similar to Twitter, to send public messages to each other. This is a big improvement over the "Wire" section (see #3 below).</li><li> There are no more "Wire" sections on member profiles and group pages (see #2 above).</li><li> The member profiles and group pages are more streamlined, with horizontal menus.</li><li> Your display name and profile link will show on your blog comments.</li><li> Twitter and Facebook feeds removed from sidebar. Replaced with icons, so you can follow us on those sites. Not only that, she started out pretending to be YEH. People thought the real YEH was involved and the page was presented as YEH's official Facebook fanclub. None of that is true. The page built quite a large following on the back of this lie and our stolen content.
