It's already been almost 5 years since 1st Shop of Coffee Prince aired in Korea.
While there has been plans in the past to make new versions of 1st Shop of Coffee Prince for TV series and a movie, we've only been given a Japanese musical and two Korean musicals based on 1st Shop of Coffee Prince.
But we finally have a new TV version of Coffee Prince, and surprisingly (because we were expecting Taiwanese version to come out first), it's a Thai version^^
And having watched the shooting stills of Coffee Prince Thailand, it seems really cool. You can watch the video here:

While it is the case for any dramas that have a popular original version, as when Korea made its version of Boys Before Flowers, Playful Kiss, and etc., one can easily fall into judging a newer version in comparison to the original version. Having watched the original version and knowing the story beforehand, it is sometimes difficult to enjoy the newer version with a fresh perspective. But the truth is that each of the newer versions always bring about something new and enjoyable in details.
The original version of Coffee Prince will always have its special place in our mind, but I think the new version can be a big treat for Coffee Prince fans.
In any case, I'm looking forward to Coffee Prince Thailand^^
