Hi, I just wanted to warn everyone that it seems there's a hack spreading around the Internet, particularly on forums, including Soompi.
The hack loads a hidden iframe on the affected website, which in turn loads malware (spyware, viruses, etc.) onto your computer via Java. This is why sites like Soompi have recently started getting blocked in IE. It is not a fluke. This iframe was loading on Soompi forums and my Kaspersky anti-virus blocked it.
If you recently visited Soompi using Internet Explorer (IE) or without updated anti-virus protection I strongly suggest you get that protection and do a full system scan. I did some research and it appears this hack only affects IE, but I'm not 100% certain of that. In any case, the iframe still loads in any browser, as long as you visit an affected page.
I suspect Soompi's current downtime might be to fix this but I could be wrong.
You should make sure your Windows, Java, anti-virus, and browser are all fully updated. And I recommend you use something other than IE - Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari are all much better browsers.
P.S. Please don't ask me how to scan or fix your computer, I can't provide technical support. I just want to give people a warning, since many here probably also visit Soompi.
